Instead of chasing a package dining plan, most DVC members save more with:

• DVC member dining discounts — many table-service restaurants offer a standing percentage discount to DVC members with an eligible Annual Pass, no package required.
• Mobile order + grocery delivery. Order groceries to your villa for breakfast and snacks, then use mobile order for quick-service lunches — a common combination that keeps food costs predictable without prepaying a flat rate.
• Booking fewer, better table-service meals. Pay out of pocket for the one or two signature dining experiences you actually care about, instead of prepaying for every meal at a flat rate whether you use it or not.

Renting DVC Points: Can You Add a Dining Plan?

If you're renting DVC points from an owner rather than owning a contract yourself, the same rule applies — and then some. A rented points reservation is booked under the owner's membership as a standard points stay, so it carries the same dining-plan ineligibility as any other points booking.
